Hi parents of Jammers! Today we are talking about how to change or reset your Parent Dashboard password, which can be useful if you forget your password or need to change it because of security concerns.
Resetting Parent Dashboard Password
The first thing you need to do is visit the Parent Dashboard, and then click the “Forgot Your Password” link which is under the username and password screen. Then you need to type in your parent email address, and then you can click submit. You will then get an email within 30 minutes, usually a lot sooner, with a link you need to click in order to reset your password. Check your spam folder if you do not see it and if clicking the link does not work, you can copy and paste it into your browser window. Once that screen comes up, simply just type in a new password in the box, and then retype that password to confirm it, and then your Parent Dashboard password will be changed. If you try to request a password reset more than once, only the most recent link will work, so make sure to wait a little while before requesting an additional email be sent as to not make it more complicated.

To Change Your Parent Dashboard Password
If you need update your parent password simply login to your Parent Dashboard and click on the “Change Parent Password” bar which is on the right side of the Parent Dashboard. Type in your existing password and then your new password into the appropriate boxes, and then click on save. The next time you login to the Parent Dashboard, you will be able to use your new password.

- Activate your parent account using the email you used to set up your animal Jam account. When you first sign up for Animal Jam, they send you an email with the option to activate a parent account. Click the link and it will bring you to this page.
- After you choose a password and click “continue”, you’ll get to this page. Enter your email address and password here then click “log in”.
- Once you log in, you’ll see the Parent Dashboard page. Here you will see an overview of your account. In the middle, you’ll see the chat options. The default setting is “Restricted Chat”. In order to get free chat, you’ll want to change the settings to “Safe Chat”.
- That’s it! Now you have free chat! Your messages will no longer be limited by the pre-approved list. Just remember, curse words and other bad words are still not allowed.
